Reader: The Wollstonecraft Detective Agency's The Case of the Missing Moonstone
Maker: Build a Hot air Balloon by Home Training Tools

In this middle-grade novel, Jordan Stratford plays with history a bit so that Ada Lovelace and Mary Shelley form a friendship focused on solving mysteries.  Making a delightful connection between literature and science, this book showcases Lovelace's analytical mind through the eyes of a storyteller, Shelley.  I loved Ada's hot air balloon haven she had above her home.  It was such a strong image throughout the book that it just screams to be a reader maker connection.
